Bespoke Displays and Metal Work

I make bespoke stands to display a special item of yours or perhaps as a present.  The stands can be made of almost any combination of mild steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, titanium etc.  Most of my clients ask for a wood base, which generally would be oiled mahogany, teak or oak, but there is  no reason why the base cannot be solid metal.  Engraving can be added to almost any part of the display including the wood plinth if required.

In the above two picture examples, the top left hand picture shows a relatively simply sellotape holder made for a client who disliked lightweight plastic sellotape holders and wanted something with a bit of heft!  The materials used were brass fro the side pieces, stainless steel for spacers and fixings with the side wheels made of aluminium.

The picture to the right of the sellotape holder shows a display made for a client who was an ex RAF Tornado pilot and was given one of the high pressure turbine blades from one of his engines on servicing and when he left the service.  He wanted a display for the turbine blade to remind him of his flying days.  The display was therefore designed to show a representation of the high pressure section of the Tornado engine, with the turbine blade mounted in the centre.  The base of the display is made of oiled mahogany with a solid brass plate on top, on which is the circular representation of the high pressure section of the engine made in aircraft grade titanium and supported by three stainless steel shafts mounted at an angle to represent speed.

If you are interested in any bespoke display or other metalworking project, including precision manufacture of specific parts, please give me a call to discuss your requirements to see if I can help.
